Toolbar

The buttons listed below are in the order they are displayed in the Toolbar above:

Button

Description

Profile

Loads a top-level window in which you can configure your teleconference profile.

You are able to configure the following:

  • Default Channel - This can either be Main or your private channel when you initially enter the Teleconference.

  • Chat Request Interval - This is the period of time that must expire before you can be requested to chat after a prior chat request.

  • Private Channel Topic - This is the topic that displays when you enter your private channel.

  • Requested Entrance Message - Your entrance message displays when you enter a channel. Entrance messages must be approved by a Tele-Op. This is where you state the requested entrance message.

  • Requested Exit Message - Your exit message displays when you exit a channel. Exit messages must be approved by a Tele-Op. This is where you state the requested exit message.

To clear existing Entrance/Exit messages, click on the Clear Entrance Message and/or Clear Exit Message check boxes. Be sure to click on the OK button to submit the information to the Server. Click the Cancel button to Exit. When an Entrance/Exit Message has been approved, it displays on the top of the Tele Profile Editor top-level window, as: 

 

Drawing Board

Loads a top-level window with the Drawing Board.

Dock/Undock

Docking the applet causes the top-level window to disappear; the applet will be re-painted inside the browser window.

Message Font

Loads a top-level Font Dialog Window. Only the currently selected message window is affected. Each message window can be configured with a different font.

Tree Font

Loads a top-level Font Dialog Window. Only the currently selected tree window is affected. Each tree window can be configured with a different font.

Whisper

A whisper is a message that can be viewed only by its intended recipient. Select this option to load a top level window into which you may type a message to whisper to the selected user. Click the OK button to send the whisper. Click Cancel to unload the window. You can also whisper to a user by typing /<username> <message> in the message input field. This option is user-specific and is disabled unless a user is selected in the Users or Channels Tree Control.

 

User Info

Loads a top-level window in which the selected user's Registry information displays. This option is user-specific and is disabled unless a user is selected in the Users or Channels Tree Control.

Invite

To Invite means to notify a particular user that they are requested to join you in your private channel. This option toggles the currently selected user's Invite/Uninvite status. If they are currently invited, they will be uninvited, and vice-versa. The User Tree Control is updated as necessary. This option is user-specific and is disabled unless a user is selected in the Users or Channels Tree Control.

Forget

To Forget means to ignore everything about that user: chat requests, general messages, whispers, actions etc. This option toggles the currently selected user's Forget/Unforget status. If they are currently Forgotten, they will be Unforgotten and vice-versa. The User Tree Control is updated as necessary. This option is user-specific and is disabled unless a user is selected in the Users or Channels Tree Control.

Ignore

To Ignore means to filter out any actions from the particular user. This options toggles the currently selected user's Ignore/Unignore status. If they are currently Ignored, they will be Unignored and vice-versa. The User Tree Control is updated as necessary. This option is user-specific and is disabled unless a user is selected in the Users or Channels Tree Control.

Pal

When you select someone as a Pal, any messages that they type appears in the Whispers/Pal message window. This option toggles the currently selected user's Pal/Unpal status. If they are a Pal, they will be removed from the Pal list and vice-versa. The User Tree Control is updated as necessary. This option is user-specific and is disabled unless a user is selected in the Users or Channels Tree Control.

Squelch

This is a Tele-Op level option only. When a user is Squelched, they are "silenced" system-wide, and cannot type anything in, use actions, whisper, etc. This option toggles the currently selected user's Squelch/Unsquelch status. If they are currently Squelched, they will be Unsquelched and vice-versa. The User Tree Control is updated as necessary. This option is user-specific and is disabled unless a user is selected in the Users or Channels Tree Control.

Help

Launches another browser instance containing Teleconference help.
