Transferring Credits to Other Users

Credits are the unit of currency on the System. The System Administrator of this system decided when the system was set up if charging for its use was necessary. Here's how to do it, step by step:

  1. First, navigate to the Account Management screen.

  1. Next, click on the Show/Transfer Credits link in the Account Management screen. Remember, these options will only work if "charging" credits is enabled on this system!

  1. Let's assume you want to transfer credits to another user, but are not sure of the user's full name. In order to transfer credits you will need this information, so to find it just click on the Find User link.

  1. You know his last name is Smith, and fortunately that is all the program needs in order to begin searching for the user you might be looking for.

  1. Now you have all the information you need to successfully transfer credits to another user. Navigate back to the main Transfer Credit screen, enter the user's name, and in the box below the name type the number of credits you want to transfer. Click on the TRANSFER button.

  1. Lastly, you have to confirm the transfer was successful (or not). If you did everything right, you will receive a confirmation message.

That's it! Remember, transfers are meaningful only on systems that charge for services, and then only if the sending credit balance is positive.

On this system, a transfer from you to another User-ID can be a payment to another person. Credit transfers can also be an internal transfer from one of your accounts to another. For example, if the balance in one of your accounts has fallen to its debt limit but you still have a positive balance in another, you can transfer the credits between the accounts and balance the two out.
